After winning the T20I series against India, Australia started the five-match ODI series against the Men in Blue in torrid fashion by facing defeats in the first two ODIs by the Virat Kohli-led Team India. However, in the second ODI, it looked like the Australian skipper would finally end his rough patch with the bat. After getting out on a three-ball duck in the first match, Finch looked in great touch in the second before throwing his wicket away for 37 runs. Former Australian all-rounder Darren Lehmann, who has been named as the new Brisbane Heat coach, has said that he would pick Finch every day of the week as people forget his contribution in the last World Cup.
Lehmann added that he would give him ample time to prove his worth and once he is back to form, he would have him at the top of the batting order.
