First Indian woman with a Michelin star

Garima Arora has single-handedly been making India proud, one dish at a time. The Mumbai-based chef set up her restaurant, Gaa in Bankok, Thailand in 2017. A year later, Garima became the first Indian female chef to be conferred with the Michelin star. The journalist turned chef gained popularity for her Indian-Thai restaurant has now been named as the Best Female Chef 2019. Adding another feather to her already crowded cap, Garima will receive the award in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants ceremony that will be held in Macau on March 26.
